Monsoon  June to September is best for flora and fauna. When the greenery reaches its top level, and tourists can see the beautiful wildlife nature. when the snow started capturing peaks, this is the time when tourists can get lost in the lap of nature. but there a chance of landslides and road-blocking and that can be a big risk. it is advisable to avoid the rainy season or be ready for these circumstances.

Winter October to February minimum of -15°C and a maximum of 15°C.

Chopta is blessed with snowfall in winters, that was the reason I too planned my trip in January 2020 by own car. because I wanted to witness that heavenly place when the hills are fully covered with snow, a place which is fully covered by a white sheet, and one can see the best view of Chopta.

Trekking on snow is very popular at Chopta, for the paths are well-marked, and the view is spectacular. Deoria Tal is a gorgeous lake in the valley, but due to heavy snowfall road mainly closed before 6 to 7 km before Chopta, so It recommended booking a hotel or camp in Deoria Tal which is 20 km approx.
