“LIFE IS EITHER A DARING ADVENTURE OR NOTHING AT ALL” ~ HELEN KELLER
Today we are going to tell you about such a beautiful village.
This place is very much liked for those people who always like the quiet and beautiful nature away from the crowded area and want to get lost in it.
Many of you must have heard about it.
So let's know about one such hidden treasure of India which will fascinate everyone with its beauty.

“LET'S FIND SOME BEAUTIFUL PLACE TO GET LOST”

Harsil , Uttarakhand
Harsil is located in Uttarkashi district in Uttarakhand above 2040 m (40 ft) above sea level. It is situated on the banks of the sacred river Bhagirathi and is surrounded by the Himalayan hills. When the clean air touches your body, it feels very relaxed, however, it is very cold and when it touches your cheeks, it feels like a cute twitch is going to bite you, but it will not hurt you. Here you will get everything crystal clear, whether it is the wind, the water of the rivers that you can feel free to drink, or the beautiful mountains, whom seeing the clouds are happy to come and sit on them. its  Believing, here you will find only nature. By sitting on the banks of the river, you will feel the music that is not made by any human but made of rivers, birds chirping and flowing air. Its atmosphere is perfect for meditation and yoga. It is less popular among people. But those who have visited  Harshil called it Switzerland of India. Even I believe the same.
Harshil is connected to the Baspa valley by several passes including the Lamkhaga Pass, Matri, and Kailash mountains, and Shrikanth peak is in the right side, behind which lies Kedarnath, and  Banderpunch. Harsil is known for its natural environment and apple production.
A story behind  Harsil, the rivers Bhagirathi and the Jalandhari once had an argument about who was more important. Lord Vishnu (known as Hari) intervenes. He turned himself into a great stone, a Shila, and absorbed their anger. Even today, after Hari-Shila (or Harshil), the waters of the two rivers become a little less turbulent.
As in the story, Frederick E. Wilson was involved in an army and fled his regiment during the Sepoy Mutiny of 1857 and came to Harsil, where he got so lost in Harsil's nature and settled down there he married a village girl whose name might be Rimatta was, but she did not have any children with him, so she married a girl named Sangrami from the village, which led to her having 3 children. he decided to invest further into farming and then introduced Apples into this region. this region produces some of the best apples in India till date.
Harsil is also famous for Bollywood movie 'Ram Teri Ganga Maili Ho Gayi', the postoffice shown in the movie is almost the same even today.
It is said that no one can construct on their own, they have to take permission, this has made the village as if it has been frozen for decades
